Here is a recipe for those of us that have been hiding out trying to avoid other people during cold & flu season! I personally am not 100% convinced that things like antioxidant gummies actually do that much to help us avoid getting sick (sometimes it seems inevitable) but hey, it can’t hurt to try right? Besides, these gummies are pretty great tasting and will be nice to have around if (when?) you do end up catching something.
I made these gummies in a cute silicone honeycomb mold that I found online. This recipe was enough for me to fill up a little over half of my mold (~25 gummies), double it to fill the whole tray. You may want to spray the mold before filling, I didn’t and I struggled a little getting them out because the mold is about an inch deep. I removed mine by sliding a butter knife around the edge and popping them out.
Honey & Chamomile Antioxidant Gummies
Ingredients
- Raw Honey – 6 Tbsp
- Water – 1c
- Chamomile Tea – 2 bags
- Gelatin – 2 packages
Instructions
- Heat the water to boiling and add tea bags and honey.
- Steep for 5-10 minutes.
- Return the tea to a boil and stir in gelatin until dissolved
- pour mixture into mold and let chill 1-2 hours
Tip: You can speed up the cooling process by placing the mold in the fridge of freezer, it shouldn’t affect the consistency of the gummies.
